OnePlus has announced the OxygenOS 5.1.7 update for the OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T. Both devices will receive Bluetooth modifications anf improved connectivity.
OnePlus has rolled out the OxygenOS 5.1.7 update to the OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T. With the latest improvements, OnePlus 5/5T owners will receive Bluetooth fixes for their phones, as well as bug fixes and improvements with the October Android security patch. Both phones are under Project Treble, and will receive Android Pie updates soon.
As per the OnePlus Forum post, the OnePlus 5/5T will now be able to connect to various Bluetooth devices with the Hotfix update. Specifically, those who connect their OnePlus phones to their car’s infotainment system will benefit, as the stability issue has been fixed.
This also extends to phone calls attended while using Bluetooth. Besides this, both phones will also receive the latest Android security patch which brings bug fixes. OxygenOS 5.1.7 is available as an over-the-air (OTA) upgrade, and can be manually checked through Setings > Updates > Check for Updates.
Recently, both phones had also received updates for Idea VoLTE operations, allowing those OnePlus 5/5T users having Idea’s 4G network to upgrade their service. OnePlus has listed these phones among the devices that will receive the Android 9 Pie update, and beta testing of the same is in progress.
OnePlus 5T features a 6.01-inch FHD+ AMOLED display and a screen aspect ratio of 18:9. Based on OxygenOS over and above Android 8.1 Oreo, the phone runs the Snapdragon 835 processor, and is backed by a 3300mAh battery with DashCharge technology. OnePlus 5T comes in a 6GB RAM/64GB ROM variant as well 8GB RAM/128GB storage configuration.
This phone comes with a 16MP+20MP dual rear camera setup, having f/1.7 aperture on both lenses. It also features a 16MP front lens.
