Xiaomi hikes prices of Redmi 6, Redmi 6A, Mi Powerbank 2i and Mi TVs in India

Xiaomi hikes prices of Redmi 6, Redmi 6A, Mi Powerbank 2i and Mi TVs in India

Xiaomi India, on Saturday, announced that the company is increasing the price of some of its products in India. The reason behind the price hike is because rupee value has depreciated against the dollar by nearly 15 per cent. As a result of which the input cost has increased and hence Xiaomi India has hiked the prices of Redmi 6, Redmi 6A, Mi Powerbank 2i and Mi TVs. To recall, at the launch of all these products, Xiaomi had announced that the prices are introductory and are subject to change. In addition to Xiaomi, Realme CEO has also announced the price hike for Realme C1 and Realme 2. The price of the Realme 2 Pro remains unchanged.
"As you are aware, rupee has depreciated against the dollar by nearly 15 per cent since the beginning of the year, which has resulted in a significant rise in the input cost for us. To offset this, a few of our products will witness marginal price adjustment and will now move from their introductory price phase announced during their launch in September," Xiaomi India notes. The products include -- the Redmi 6, the Redmi 6A, Mi LED TV 4C Pro 32-inch, Mi LED TV 4A Pro 49-inch and 1000mAh Mi Power Bank 2i.
Here are the new prices of these aforementioned Xiaomi products:
--Redmi 6A 2GB RAM/16GB storage model: Xiaomi has increased the price of this model of the Redmi 6A by Rs 600 which makes the new price to be Rs 6,599. The launch price of this variant of the Redmi 6A was Rs 5,999.
--Redmi 6A 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage: Xiaomi has hiked the price of this model by Rs 500 which increases the price of the phone to Rs 7,499, up from its launch price of Rs 6,999.
--Redmi 6 3GB RAM/32GB storage: Xiaomi has hiked the price of only one variant of the Redmi 6. The 3GB RAM/32GB storage model of the Redmi 6 gets a price hike of Rs 500, after which the cost of the phone raises to Rs 8,499. To recall, the Redmi 6 was launched in India in two variants -- the base model with 3GB RAM/32GB storage for Rs 7,999, while the second model comes with 3GB/64GB for Rs 9,499.
--Mi TV 4C Pro 32-inch: Xiaomi has hiked the price of the Mi TV 4C Pro 32-inch by Rs 1,000 which increases the price of the TV to Rs 15,999. The Mi TV 4C Pro 32-inch was launched in India for Rs 14,999.
--Mi TV 4A Pro 49-inch: Xiaomi has hiked the price of the Mi TV 4A Pro 49-inch by Rs 2,000 which increases the price of the TV to Rs 31,999. The Mi TV 4A Pro 49-inch was launched in India for Rs 29,999. The price of the Mi TV 4 Pro 55-inch remains the same.
--10000mAh Powe Bank 2i: The price of the 10000mAh Powe Bank 2i (black colour) has been hiked by Rs 100. The price of the 10000mAh Powe Bank 2i is now Rs 899.
The new prices of these Xiaomi products are effective from November 11, meaning if you buy any of these Xiaomi devices, you'll have to buy for the new prices.
