Flipkart Diwali 2018 sale: Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro at Rs 749 with exchange offers? Here's how you can buy the phone at such low price from Flipkart.
during its Big Diwali Days sale has begun and one of Xiaomi’s most popular device, the Redmi Note 5 Pro is up for grabs. The price of Redmi Note 5 Pro is Rs 12,999 for the 4GB RAM variant, which is a Rs 2,000 discount from the original price of Rs 14,999. The 6GB RAM variant will cost Rs 14,999 during the sale, down from the original price of Rs 16,999.
However, consumers can get the Redmi Note 5 Pro under Rs 10,000 if you are exchanging an old phone which can fetch an extra discount, over and above this Rs 2,000. Flipkart is offering its consumers up to Rs 12,250 off on exchange for Redmi Note 5 Pro’s 4GB RAM option. Effectively this means you can get Redmi Note 5 Pro at just Rs 749.
The Redmi Note 5 Pro with 6GB RAM will get up to Rs 13,850 off on exchange, which brings the price of this variant to Rs 1,149 effectively. But as always there is a catch.
Redmi Note 5 Pro will only fetch this maximum exchange offer when you are trading in a really good phone for this budget phone. An Apple iPhone 7 will fetch around Rs 11,000 discount, while the Galaxy Note 8 is what gets Rs 12,250 off on the price. So yes, getting Redmi Note 5 Pro at Rs 749 is impossible, unless you really are trading a Note 8 for this.
However, this does not mean one cannot get Redmi Note 5 Pro under Rs 10,000. If you have a Redmi Note 3 or a Note 4 and want to upgrade to the Note 5 Pro, you will be able to get Rs 2,800 for the Redmi Note 3 and Rs 3,450 for the Note 4. This brings the effective price to Rs 10,199 in the first case and Rs 9,549 in the second case.
So depending on the phone, it is possible to get more than the Rs 2,000 discount that Flipkart is offering on Redmi Note 5 Pro by exchanging an older phone. Once again exchange offers are best if the device you are trading is in a good condition without screen damage, etc.
Flipkart is also offering its users 10 per cent cashback to users who pre-pay for their order via an SBI credit card. The company is also offering its consumers a Rs 100 cashback on paying with their PhonePe wallet, whereas, Axis Bank Buzz credit card owners will get an instant discount of worth Rs 400.
Customers can also pay Rs 99 upfront to get up to 50 per cent buyback value of their new Redmi Note 5 Pro, but this is only valid on Flipkart. After the consumers return the device to Flipkart, they will get a voucher of worth up to 50 per cent of the device’s original value to use for purchasing a new smartphone.
