OnePlus has started rolling out the OxygenOS 9.0.5 update over-the-air (OTA) for its recently launched OnePlus 6T. The update is currently being rolled out in phases to avoid server congestion. It is a minor update and has a file size of 94MB, reportsXDADevelopers.
According to the changelog, the update brings improvements to the in-display fingerprint scanner, general bug fixes, and other minor improvements. It has been reported that OnePlus has refined its screen gestures to provide consumers with a better and smoother experience.
To check if your device has received the update or not, all you need to go to the device’s settings panel, then head to the system tab. In there you need to press system updates and then click check for updates. If the update shows up you can simply click download and install the update. OnePlus has also added the update files to its official website, with which consumers can manually flash the update to their devices.
To recall, OnePlus recently rolled out OxygenOS 9.0.4 OTA update to the OnePlus 6T. OxygenOS 9.0.4 brought improvements to the in-display fingerprint sensor, full-screen gestures, Nightscape mode and Studio Lighting. Additionally, it was accompanied by the Android November security patch.
OnePlus 6T price starts at Rs 37,999 for the base storage model with 6GB RAM+128GB ROM. The 8GB RAM+128GB storage model will cost Rs 41,999, while 8GB and 256GB storage variant is priced at Rs 45,999. The phone is available through open sale model at OnePlus retail stores, Croma and Reliance Digital stores as well as Amazon and OnePlus online store.
OnePlus 6T features a 6.41-inch Full HD+ Optic AMOLED display, which consists the sensor for an in-display fingerprint sensor and has a resolution of 2340×1080 pixels. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor paired with Adreno 630 GPU. The phone runs Google’s latest Android 9.0 Pie operating system with the company’s own OxygenOS 9.0. All of this is backed by a 3,700mAh non-removable battery.
OnePlus 6T sports a dual camera setup on the back consisting a 16MP primary sensor backed by a 20MP secondary sensor. Both the back sensors have an aperture of f/1.7, electronic image stabilisation and optical image stabilisation. On the front, the device features a 16MP sensor with an aperture of f/2.0 for taking selfies.
