The world's six most outstanding environmental converters have been honored with the United Nations' highest environmental honor, Champions of the Earth Award.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been honored with the highest honor of the United Nations on the leadership of the International Solar Coalition and the resolution to free India from a single-use plastic by 2022. This honor has been given to five other persons and organizations. According to the United Nations Environment Program, this year's award winners are being honored for courageous, innovative and untiring efforts to deal with some of the most urgent environmental issues of today's time. In the category of policy leadership, French President Manuel Macro and Modi have been jointly selected for this honor.
