OnePlus 6T released earlier this month with a new waterdrop-like notch, Snapdragon 845, up to 8GB RAM, and 256GB internal storage.
OnePlus has just confirmed that it is soon bringing the Thunder Purple variantof its latest flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 6T to the global market. The company has already launched this color variant in the Chinese market about two weeks back. The company teased the variant for the global market on its
official Twitter handle. The tweet came along with a caption stating “Elegance infused with the brilliance of thunderstorms. #ThunderPurple is coming” along with an image. The image teased the new color with a velvet-looking material in purple with a OnePlus logo.
The company has not confirmed the launch date, but it is likely that it plans to launch the device in coming weeks, possibly for the upcoming holiday season. As noted during the launch of OnePlus 6, the only change with the new variant is likely to be the color with no changes in internals or the pricing of the device. This means that the device will launch at the same price as the Mirror Black and Midnight Black for the OnePlus 6T in India.
To recap, OnePlus launched the OnePlus 6T earlier this month with a new waterdrop-like notch on the top of the device with Qualcomm Snapdragon 845, up to 8GB RAM, and 256GB internal storage. The company has also been on the receiving edge of outrage because it decided to remove the 3.5mm audio socket with the launch of the 6T.
Other changes in the device include the removal of the fingerprint scanner on the back of the device in favor of the in-display fingerprint scanner. Last but not least, the company has also increased the battery capacity of the device to 3,700mAh from the 3,300mAh battery in the OnePlus 6
