You can buy the Realme C1 using any of several EMI plans, one of which starts as low as INR 266 per month. Under the Jio Realme Bonanza offer, you can avail benefits worth up to INR 4,450, including Cleartrip coupons, and an additional 1.1TB of 4G data.
The budget smartphone Realme C1 will go on a flash sale today, the first after its price hike. The addition of a thousand rupees in its selling price came as a result of a weakened Indian Rupee in trading against the US Dollar, which adversely affects the profits of Realme.
The Oppo sub-brand’s CEO had, before Diwali, revealed on Twitter that Realme phones are sold with a marginal profit, and hence warrant a price hike in light of the value of the rupee taking a hit. The Realme 2 was also given a price hike but the brand’s flagship and latest device, Realme 2 Pro, was spared. The Realme C1 was launched late in September for INR 6,999, but will sell for INR 7,999 in flash sales from today.

Key Specifications and Features of Realme C1
The budget smartphone is well packed, offering a 6.2-inch tall and notched display with HD+ screen resolution and thin bezels. Such a display is rather rare in this budget price range. The phone comes powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 octa-core chipset that is paired to 2GB of RAM. The internal storage is 16GB only but you get a third and dedicated microSD card slot to add another 256GB of storage. The phone supports 4G connectivity for two SIM cards, and comes backed by a massive 4230mAh battery. Aiding this battery is an AI Power Master feature, which suspends inactive apps to maximize battery efficiency.
Another cool feature you get with this phone is the dual rear camera, with a 13MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. The front camera is 5MP only but both the front and rear cameras get AI support, so you can capture excellent shots thanks to additional AI-based camera features.
Among other camera features, you get AI Face Unlock, which Realme claims precise and quick, taking only 0.3 seconds to unlock the handset. And while the budget handset does not come with a glass back, it has a glossy unibody design that reflects light and provides an attractive mirror effect. Since the handset boots ColorOS 5.1 based on Android 8.1 Oreo, you can enjoy a host of additional features that make for a smooth user experience.
